THE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS team at LEFC provides all of the building maintenance both inside and outside of the building. If you like hands-on work, whether it’s repair work or yard work, this ministry might be for you.

 

THE LIBRARY is a great place to serve if you love books, and desire to help provide quality Christian literature that will help our people grow in their faith.

THE OUTSIDE SIGN UPDATING ministry is an opportunity to communicate with our congregation and community through our illuminated outdoor sign.

 

THE DECORATING MINISTRY is responsible for all décorin LEFC’s interior spaces, including painting and seasonal decorating changes.

MEN’S MINISTRY helps men to grow in

their understanding of God’s word and how it applies to their lives within the context of

their family, work, and community. If you

 

WOMEN’S MINISTRY helps women to grow in their understanding of God’s word and how it applies to their lives. Help serve in this ministry through event planning or using your gift of teaching. If you have a gift for helping women grow through God’s word, then this might be the ministry for you. 

 

THE YOUTH MINISTRY serves parents and students in grades 7 through 12. We have Wednesday night gatherings, community service projects, and events that shepherd their students through teaching, worship, and small group interaction. If you have a passion to help students grow in their faith, then being a youth leader might be for you.

 

THE NURSERY is currently looking for volunteers to serve in the nursery either during our first or second service. This would be approximately a once-a-month commitment during one of our morning worship services. Background checks are required.

 

OUR MISSIONS works with missionaries on 5 different continents that are selected from those whose focus is reaching unreached people groups, primarily in the “10/40 window.” We desire, when possible, to support national missionaries in their indigenous countries. We also support two orphanages that clearly demonstrate an emphasis on evangelism.

OUR PRAYER MINISTRY aims to serve our church and community through prayer.

• The Prayer Team is a rotating group of individuals who are available to pray with people after each morning service.
• Faith Family Prayer meets each Sunday at 8:30am for a prayer meeting prior to first service. This is a special time to gather with God’s people to share praises and prayer requests and intercede for one another in corporate prayer.
• In-Person Prayer Nights are hosted at LEFC every other Tuesday at 6:30pm. This is another great opportunity to lift each other up in prayer.

 

OUR NURSING HOME MINISTRY is held at La Crescent Health Services every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. We meet for Bible study and provide a time for residents and their families to hear the gospel, listen to familiar hymns, and have fellowship. If you have a heart for the elderly or love hearing stories from times past, this might be the ministry for you.

 

SMALL GROUPS are a Christ-centered community of the local church that consists of generally 8 to 16 Jesus followers doing Christian life deeply together. No group is exactly the same and no group is perfect because we are not perfect. The groups meet at various days and times throughout the week. If you would like to be a part of one of these or are interested in facilitating a group, then this ministry might work for you.

 

 

THE TECH TEAM exists to help oversee, implement, and update all of the technological needs that exist here at LEFC. If you love technology and have knowledge in this area, this might be a great place for you to serve.

 

THE SUNDAY MORNING MINISTRIES team displays a love for the people coming in our doors and demonstrates that we genuinely care that they are here.

• Greeters ensure everyone is made to feel welcome, and answer any questions for newcomers. 
• Counting the offering. This team of 2 people is responsible for ensuring the contributions are properly handled. 
• The Coffee Ministry provides hospitality through setting up coffee and snacks for our church family and guests.
• Communion. Prepares communion prior to the service and straightens up afterwards.

 

FELLOWSHIP LUNCHES are a great way to get to know others at LEFC in a fun, casual setting. Fellowship lunches are held the last Sunday of the month following second service.  The church will provide the main course, and you get to bring the side dishes or desserts.

 

 

 

THE WORSHIP MINISTRY exists to facilitate and lead the corporate musical worship here at LEFC. Use your musical skill in our Sunday morning worship band or your technical skill as part of our sound/visual team. If you have a heart for this type of ministry, are a growing believer, and have musical skill or technical skill, this is a great place for you to serve. 

 

THE FINANCE COMMITEE meets in January to review budget requests from ministry leaders, and costs related to the running of the church and maintaining the grounds. The committee helps put together the proposed budget for the coming fiscal year.  Finance committee members must be approved by

the elders.
